Team members Andrew Moncada, Ashley Moreno, Carolina Salcedo, Erin Gehringer, and Tiana Sandoval worked with Inspired Minds Art Center to help develop digital marketing campaigns to connect with other small businesses, as well as help foster a stronger connection with their audience through promotion of the artwork from their attendees and local artists.
Handmade at Nutty Brown is a women-owned artisan cooperative in the Texas Hill Country, just outside Austin. In Fall 2025, GYO Marketing collaborated with the artisans to run a Gen Z–focused branding and social media campaign—hosting an Instagram Live and producing story-driven digital branding assets that highlight the makers and their stories. Thank you to Alison, Diane, and co-op members Swetha and Melanie for partnering with our students.
To implement our digital branding campaign—rather than relying on a static post series—the team hosted a structured Instagram Live event. We promoted it with teaser posts, ran a shop tour with short maker interviews, and added a giveaway to enhance engagement and follows. After the event, we shared highlights and messaged winners to close the loop.
On-site at Handmade at Nutty Brown near Austin—meeting makers, touring workshops, and co-creating the digital branding plan. The visit helped us align stories, visuals, and clear calls to action for social and video. It also strengthened relationships with co-op members and grounded the campaign in real maker stories.
We co-created short-form, Gen Z–focused social videos (Instagram Reels/TikTok style). Each clip is vertical, fast-paced, and captioned—designed for quick viewing and easy sharing—and ends with clear calls to follow, visit, and shop at Handmade at Nutty Brown.
